Mr. Jim Pritchard is a Vice President of Brockington and Associates and head of its Kentucky office. He was awarded a Bachelor's Degree from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi and later completed a Master's of Applied Science in 2002 at the University of Canberra, Australia. Between 1991 and 1999 he worked across the United States on numerous cultural resources consulting projects. He also worked at the Post Classic Maya Mayflower Site in Stann Creek District, Belize, and at the Formative Maya through Spanish Period site of Ek Balam in Yucatan, Mexico. From 1999 to 2001, he attended the University of Canberra. During this time, Jim assisted in initiating a Public Archaeology program at the 1830-1877 British colonial penal colony and Port Arthur Historic Site in Tasmania. Since returning to the United States in 2001, Jim has coordinated a wide variety of archaeology projects in the southeastern United States, particularly in Kentucky. Since 2007 he has worked as a Research Associate of American Academic Foreign Research, annually conducting research at the Maya sites of Cahal Pech and Baking Pot in Belize. During his varied career in archaeology, Jim has published numerous archaeological reports and has presented his findings at academic conferences including the Society for Historic Archaeology and the Southeastern Archaeological Conference.
